Welcome, Parents!
Dear family of prospective new members, As president of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Delta at University of Vermont, it is my honor and privilege to welcome a member of your family to our sisterhood and introduce you to Kappa Delta Sorority! I’m confident that being a member of Kappa Delta will enhance your member’s experience just like it has mine! Our chapter is led by collegiate officers like me who are elected annually by the chapter members. Kappa Delta encourages its members to assume chapter responsibilities as an appointed and/or elected officer and to be active in other organizations on campus. It’s a great way to develop leadership skills that members will use throughout the remainder of their collegiate and professional careers. As you can probably tell, Kappa Delta is committed to community service. Our members make a difference in others’ lives through our support of Prevent Child Abuse America/Vermont, Girl Scouts and other philanthropic activities on campus. Being a Kappa Delta is a positive, enriching experience, but it does come with some responsibilities. We expect our members to meet academic standards and fulfill the financial responsibilities that make the existence of our chapter possible. We hope that you’ll support your member in fulfilling their academic, social and financial responsibilities to themselves and to Kappa Delta. Sincerely, Meline Kalishian Chapter President
